Do you run a local business or know someone who does? Do you have a promotion or offer that you want to thousands of people a month to see, for FREE? Then why not start using our updated "Post a Local Offer" service?
To "Post a Local Offer" you first need to be a registered member of Hounslow Online. Once registered simply login and from "MY MENU" click on "Post a Local Offer"
You will then be taken to a form where all you have to do is enter a few details. Read on to view a short guide to on what to enter.
ITEM TITLE: Enter the title of your promotion or offer. Try to make sure its concise and to the point.(This field cannot be left blank)
BUSINESS NAME: The name of the business or person who is making the offer or promotion. (This field cannot be left blank)
EXPIRY DATE: If your offer has an expiry date select it here. Click on the button to the right of the field and select a date from the calendar.
ITEM SUMMARY: If your offer doesn't need much explanation (i,e, a single paragraph) type it in full here. Although can there is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor you should only type in plain text.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: If you offer requires more detail then type it here. If you want to and are comfortablewith it, use the WYSIWYG HTML editor to add style and emphasis to your text.
IMAGES: You can add upto four images to help promote your offer. The first image will be displayed in alongside your text in the Local Offers list view. The other three images will be visible to users when the click on your offer to read more details (if applicable).
META DESCRIPTION: You can leave this blank if desired but adding a meta description enhances the chances of your offer being found in search engines like Google and Yahoo. It's ok to simply copy and paste what's in the ITEM TITLE field.
META KEYWORDS: Again to increase the chances of your offer being found in search engines add up to five keywords (seperated by a comma) that are associated with your offer. For example if you were promoting 10% off a haircut then your keywords could be: haircut, barber, hair salon, hair stylist, discount
Once you are happy with your entries just click "Submit". Your offer will then be published once it has been approved by Hounslow Online.
